We walked in off the street after reading the great reviews. We had no reservation but the chef was kind enough to offer us a private room. We ordered a set meal with appetizer, chef’s choice sashimi and sushi. Everything was delicious! The serverwas so kind and took time to explain what each fish was and how to eat it (soy sauce, no soy sauce, wasabi only, etc). If you want to sit at the bar, make a reservation. 10/10 would recommend

Amazing sushi and sake! The knowledgeable and skilled chef prepared the pieces right in front of us, not only with speed, but delicate handling as well. He presented each one and gave great descriptions in English. An absolute gem.

Sushi at its best … in Takayama. We had an very enjoyable dinner at Sushi Takashima (Couse B with 7 Sushi types). The Sushi Master prepared before our eyes one dish after the other with his skilful hands, each with a distinct flavour. A memorable dinner!
